Future Marketers’-2011 Organized by ABC

For the First time in AIUB, AIUB Business Club (ABC) organized a competition especially for the Marketing major students- "Future Marketers'-2011", under the supervision of the Department of Marketing. The objective of this competition was to give a platform to bring out the analytical and real world marketing skills and creativity among business students and also to prepare the marketing major student to compete in various national competitions as most of the national level contests prefer marketing major student as participants. The competition was divided into three rounds. The first round of “Future Marketers’ 2011” held on September 25, 2011; which was composed of general marketing quiz for the participating teams and seven qualifying teams from first round were selected for the second round. In the second round on September 27, 2011; the teams had to analyze a marketing related case and create slides regarding the case within the span of one hour. The teams then had to present their presentation in front of the judges and audiences in the auditorium. In the judges’ panel, there were the most spectacular faculties from the department of Marketing- Mahreen Mamoon, Farzana Choudhury and Stanley Rodrick. They elected four teams for the final round. For the Grand Finale, which was held on October 2, 2011; the teams had to give a detailed presentation of the development of a new product or service of their own. This time in the judges’ panel, once again we had Mahreen Mamoon, Farzana Choudhury, Stanley Rodrick and two more honorable faculties from the department of Marketing, Dr. Ziaul Hoq and Mahbub Zaman. After a great fight, the judges announce Md. Enamul Haque and Faysal Mahmud as the Champion of Future marketers' 2011; Saifullah Jobaier & Birtin Amit Baidya as 1st runner-up and Imran Hasan & Aditi Alam as the 2nd runner-up.

The Chief Guests of the Grand Finale of "Future Marketers'-2011", Dr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury (Director, BBA program), Dr. Nisar Ahmed (Director, MBA program) and Rashed Chowdhury (formal Department Head, Marketing) give away the trophies and certificates to the winner and runner-up teams. They also appreciate AIUB Business Club to organize this event and making it successful and encouraged to organize this event annually from now on.
